    Annual Scholarship Gala

  • Adopt-A-Road: September

    Adopt-A-Road: September

    Join us Saturday, September 3rd at 8 am for our next trash clean-up. Gloves and plastic bags will be provided. Wear bright color clothes and closed-toe shoes. Recommended to wear sunblock, hat, sunglasses. It is a family-friendly event, so please come, clean the street, and support the THBA (12 and older).

    ADOPT A ROAD GUIDELINES
    1. Have all volunteers sign the waiver and provide it to KTBB (Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful) and submit it a couple of days later.
    2. Return all tools a week after clean-up.
    3. If lighting occurs, stop all cleanup and find shelter. Canceling or postponing the clean-up is at the discretion of the group.
    4. No one should just be observing.
    5. Work along the right way (face oncoming traffic on the same side of the road at all times).
    6. Do not pick up litter at Construction Sites, Tunnels, under bridges, or underpasses.
    7. When done, place garbage bags under your sign and provide a detailed location to KTBB so that they can retrieve the trash.
    8. Don’t place garbage in other people’s dumpsters without their permission.
    9. Must wear SAFETY VEST at all times!
    10. Wear BRIGHT COLORS, SUNGLASSES, HATS, SUNBLOCK & BUGSPRAY.
    11. Avoid placing sharp objects, broken glass, and needles in garbage bags.
    12. If you choose to pick up place in a soda can or bottle with a cap.
    13. Avoid Hazardous materials, plants, or animals If you see a large item (like a sofa, desk), check to see if safe to move.
    14. Move closer to the road and notify KTBB as to the exact location of the items (should you choose to move).
    15. NO Horseplay, illegal drugs, or Alcohol (intoxicating) Drinks allowed.
    16. Have enough Sports Drinks and Water for the group.
    17. Make sure that Tools are placed properly on the ground to avoid injuries.
    18. If you pick up Recyclables you have to dispose of yours
